Highly recommend Dr. Momaya and his team! I had a labrum and bicep operation done almost 5 months ago. After a couple months of PT and couple follow up appts, I am now released to the normal activities I was doing pre-op. I am no longer experiencing any of the issues or pain I was having before surgery.

Dr. Momaya is a rock star!!! He is a highly skilled surgeon who repaired my daughter's ACL (Karma Kilgore). He is very personable, accessible, and truly cares for the student/athlete. I have torn my ACL 3 times and Dr. Momaya is hands down the best surgeon I have ever had. He is very very knowledgeable about my condition and answered every question I could have possibly thought of. He walked me through everything he was going to do and how I would be effected afterwards! He never rushed me out of the way and was always open to help me. He also got me connected with the best physical therapists I’ve ever been with. I truly cannot thank Dr. Momaya enough for fixing my knees correctly!! Thank you Dr. Momaya!!

I tore my ACL playing basketball eight months ago. I was devastated. I got a appointment to see him fairly quickly. Surgery was scheduled a few weeks afterwards. Surgery went well. Immediately after surgery, I was in rehab working to get back to baseline. I knew it was going to be a process but I’m glad that Dr Momaya did my operation. He really cares about his patients and takes the time to make sure that questions are answered and that the patient understands what their treatment of plan looks like going forward even after you’re back up and walking. His staff is phenomenal and professional. Big shout out to Sarah who also works alongside of him and I really appreciate everything that they have done for me while in their care. I highly recommend!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Momaya. He saw me extremely quickly after I had a patella dislocation, and was insistent on conservative care rather than surgery. Now, approximately 6 weeks post-injury, I am seeing great progress and trust I’ll be back to 100% in the near future. I would recommend Dr. Momaya with no hesitation to anyone with an orthopedic injury.

Dr. Momaya did an amazing job repairing my ACL and MCL after I was referred to him by a family friend pediatric orthopedist . 9 months post-op and my knee is working great! Dr. Momaya was always very accessible and down to earth every step of the way. Highly recommend

Dr. Momaya is amazing!! not only does he explain complex concepts in a very clear and concise manner, but he also makes sure to explain these concepts in a way that almost anybody can understand. His research productivity is also tremendous and the studies he is working on are fascinating! whether it be the studies looking at different ACL graft types or those looking at various return to sport criteria. He is very knowledgeable on current orthopedic literature and uses this knowledge to deliver the best possible care to patients.

Dr. Momaya is outstanding , he repaired my shoulder which had been damaged for a number of years. I was in some amount of pain around the clock. Night was worse than days I was getting about 3hours sleep per night. After surgery I sleep 6-7 hours nightly. I’m very satisfied with the outcome of my surgery

Dr. Momaya and his team was extremely diligent and welcoming. He explained thoroughly what to expect and always left the floor open for questions. Any time I had questions when I wasn’t in the office, I received a prompt reply. He’s the best!

Dr. Momaya and his entire staff have been excellent throughout my entire treatment! They went over the multiple surgical options with me and I had total confidence in the choices that they made because it was explained so well. The staff before and after surgery were so accommodating and answered all of the questions that came up! All of my follow up appointments were easy and his contact and follow up with my physical therapist gave me even more confidence that I was on the right track with recovery. A big surgery and recovery process can seem daunting but Dr. Momaya’s expertise and care definitely helped put my mind at ease at every step of the way. I can’t recommend the whole team enough!

Dr.Momaya is Fantastic & the recommended orthopedic surgeon!. He is very diligent while providing care. Actually I was seeking to get a second opinion on my ACL injury & one of my Friends made me approach him. Dr.Momaya diligently examined my case & suggested ACL repair (Bear Implant Procedure). He answered all of my questions and made me feel confident about the procedure. His clinal staff are very welcoming, supportive and make you feel that you are in safe hands!. It is 6 months post procedure & I am very confident coming back to the athletic activities!. Thanks to Dr.Momaya!

My 13 year old had a dirt bike accident and broke his clavicle. Dr. Momaya’s amazing staff called us on a Sunday to schedule his appointment for the following day! We saw Dr. Momaya and immediately liked him, his bedside manner is top notch! He made us all feel at ease with our son’s recovery at home. We’re on the other side of healing now, and we’re still in awe of the caring effort Dr. Momaya and his staff gave us. Our whole family will definitely use Dr. Momaya in the future for all of our orthopedic needs.

Tore my acl at almost 40 and worried I’d never get back to my active hobbies. Dr. Momaya was recommended at the “acl expert and go to guy” He was kind, thorough, detail oriented, and knows his field. Can’t give him and his team enough praise for how well the pre, and post op went.

I suffered a massive tear of my left shoulder rotator cuff. Dr Momaya and his entire medical srxtf were exceptional. Professional, efficient and pleasant during the entire process. The diagnosis was accurate, timely and well presented. I chose the surgical option to repair the shoulder. The staff very competently answered all the questions and handled every detail expertly. Dr. Momaya and his team at UAB Sports and Medicine took great care of me. I received ACL Reconstruction and repair of my meniscus to my right knee. I recommend that if this is your issue you must, must work with Dr. Momaya. My knee has never been better. I am over the age of 40 and a U.S soldier in the Army. I definitely need my knees. I can run, jump and do all that is required of me in my position. It has not even been a year since I received surgery and I am as good as New!! Thank you so much! You are surely one of the best!
