Shoulder Labrum Repair
Maddie, who plays guard for UAB, injured her shoulder. She suffered from pain and instability. She saw Dr. Momaya, head team surgeon for UAB Athletics, who diagnosed her with a labrum tear. She underwent a successful minimally invasive, arthroscopic Bankart (labrum) repair. She was able to make a successful comeback to collegiate basketball.
