ACL Surgery
Mia Kent is a high-level soccer athlete who plays for Vestavia High School and Hoover-Vestavia Soccer Club. She unfortunately tore her ACL. She sought out Dr. Momaya, who performed a patellar tendon autograft ACL reconstruction with lateral extra-articular iliotibial band tenodesis. She had a terrific recovery and has been able to return to high level soccer.
Dr. Momaya serves as Chief of Sports Medicine at UAB and is the head team physician for Legion FC. He is proud to provide orthopedic care for Vestavia High School athletes and high-level soccer athletes in the Birmingham Metro Area.
